Technology: Pharmaceutical Firm Receives
State Funding March 18, 2003 Lawrence-based start-up firm Deciphera Pharmaceuticals has received a $100,000 investment from the Kansas Technology Enterprise Corp., officials with the state-sponsored economic development agency announced Monday. Deciphera, which occupies a building on the former Oread Labs campus, will use the funding to continue its research efforts. The firm moved to Lawrence from Cambridge, Mass., in January. The company, which believes its research will lead to new drugs for Alzheimer's disease and various forms of cancer, has two employees, but plans to grow to 35 within three years. http://www.ljworld.com/section/business/story/125332 |
