GSI To Provide Infrastructure and Sponsorship to KCGeek.com

GSI, a Lenexa-based provider of advanced business hosting and development services, has reached an agreement to become the lead sponsor and infrastructure provider for kcgeek.com, a locally operated online site for IT professionals, gamers, and other technology users in the Kansas City area. Throughout the past year, GSI has been the primary vendor to kcgeek.com for a scalable, secure infrastructure to collocate the kcgeek.com platforms. These services include high-capacity Internet connectivity, managed firewall ports, and an environmentally controlled facility.

"GSI has been able to meet the scalability and response time needs of kcgeek.com as well as support us with the issues we have faced as our membership has grown from a few dozen local participants to a national audience of several thousand members. We have experienced no downtime or other related issues, even when our content has generated international exposure, driving traffic to over ten times our normal load," says kcgeek.com admin Randall Munden. "GSI has provided us with the infrastructure to take kcgeek.com to the next level," added admin Lev Johnson. "This sponsorship will enable us to focus more on the needs of the community."
